My first book to read on the trip!!!

So I have officially got my first book for my trip. We all need something good to read on the plane, or bus, or train, or 12 hour flight to hong kong.... So here it is, the first book I'm going to read: The Princess Bride.

Apparently there is a whole cult following of this book and movie that I have never seen or read. A very sweet and wonderful person bought it for me to have on my trip (after being shocked and appalled I hadn't read it or seen the movie yet) but I guess better late than never!


(yea i know it's backwards, but I didn't want to mirror it :-P) ***Added a couple hours later***I REALLY need to change that picture, I look awful. Oh well, get used to it, this is my travel blog, and I'm SURE there will be worse pics coming!

I'm thinking I also might try out the twilight books considering how much i've heard of them, but those are all easy reads. I need to also find something deep and engulfing.

Anyways, I'm getting more and more excited, and this book just added to the actualization of my trip! Thanks so much for the book!!!! I'll let you know if you're right about it :) tee hee!

Almost ready to go....

So I have officially booked my tickets! I will be leaving Vancouver September 16, arriving on the 17th in Hong Kong. I'm there for about 5 weeks and then taking a backpack to..... well... wherever I feel like :-). Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand baby here i come!!!

My friend Chelsey is coming with me, and she booked her flight too! Arent' you excited for us!!! I'll include a picture of her whether she likes it or not...tee hee!!!


So how do i feel? I'm obviously extremely excited, but I'm a little nervous. I still have some things to finish up, some loose ends to tie, but i'm sure once I arrive after a 12 hour flight, I'll be ready to go!

I feel really fortunate that I not only get to do this, but I get to see some great friends before going. I'm going to head to toronto for about a week before heading to Vancouver (where I fly out from).

I will miss Montreal and some friends and activities I have started getting used to and enjoying. But i'll be back, I have to! Who else will harass my friends or support a Starbucks franchise all by themselves by sitting there for hours on end :-). Think of the huge corporations here. Nobody puts THEM first anymore!

I promise I will get more interesting when I'm actually gone!!! Maybe that's why people like when I leave... hahaha!!!

Pre Trip

Alright Guys,

So this first blog post is not going to be at all interesting, i'm just setting up this blog to see if it works, and will suffice for all my needs!

As most of you know, I will be traveling to South East Asia for a couple of months in about..well a month. I wanted a place to keep in touch with all of you guys, or for you to feign interest in what I am doing :)

Wish me luck, and yes I will need you to leave comments or whatever to encourage me to write. I need to have an audience!
